Coronavirus Information

Patients with Coronavirus symptoms (COVID 19) are now asked to contact NHS 24 on 111 day or night if their symptoms worsen or do not improve after 7 days.  Callers to the 111 helpline will be assessed and, if necessary, transferred to the local community hub staffed by clinicians from across the healthcare system to ensure patients get the best possible advise . Depending on their assessment, patients may be given advice to help them continue self-isolating at home or an appointment to attend a local assessment centre for further treatment.

For more information on the coronavirus, please visit the NHS Inform website

If you require a self-isolation note for your employer, this can be obtained by clicking on the link below and following the instructions from NHS 111 - Self Isolation Note

Shielding Information

The most vulnerable patients on our list are being sent shielding letters from the CMO.  The practice will contact you to make sure you understand the content of the letter.  If you have received a letter and need assistance with shopping, collecting prescriptions etc, you can call for help from the Grampian Coronavirus Assistance hub on 0808 196 3384 or visit their website www.gcah.org.uk

We also thought it may be beneficial to clarify what the differences are between the 2 groups that are classed as high risk:-

Group 1 is the highest risk group or 'shielding patients'.  Patients in this group are being sent a letter from the CMO advising they must shield for 12 weeks as the information above.

Group 2 is high risk patients who are not being sent a letter but are being asked to social distance or take steps to reduce their social interactions as much as possible.

We understand that it is hard to differentiate between the two.
